Close Encounters is a project funded by The National Lottery Community Fund and designed to reduce loneliness for older people in Portsmouth and Gosport. Delivered by Age UK Portsmouth, in partnership with Gosport Voluntary Action and a number of local organisations including:- Age Concern Gosport, South Central Ambulance Service and the University of Portsmouth.
As part of the project Age Concern Gosport have been awarded funds to continue with ‘Your Care in Your Hands’ and we consider having life and future plans in place is one of the most important events in our lives, however, most of us put it to one side until it is too late. We are offering FREE talks about the importance of arranging and putting things in place to help ease anxieties for families and loved ones.
