Age Concern Gosport and Gosport Voluntary Action both received a funding boost thanks to a programme set up by the developers Wates Residential, which is currently building 20 new homes at pace as part of the Daedalus Village. The Wates Giving programme enabled Gosport Voluntary Action to continue running its Supported Volunteering Project which provides additional support for isolated individuals to become more active and engaged members of the local community.
Meanwhile, Age Concern Gosport are able to continue offering a friendly information and form filling service for over 55’s. The funding will help extend Age Concern Gosport’s programme of activities by reaching out to people within the local community and providing FREE talks on Benefit Entitlement including:- Attendance Allowance, Personal Independence Payment, Disability Living Allowance, Employment Support Allowance and Blue Badge applications.
